HEAD OF NONPROFIT ENROLLMENT

We are thrilled to welcome Sharanya Krishna Prasad to team Revjen! Sharanya joins us as the Head of Nonprofit Enrollment where she will be working directly with nonprofit leaders to help guide them through their Revjen journey and becoming thriving nonprofit organizations.

We asked Sharanya a few questions to help us all get to know her a little better.

❓What gives you the most energy about working in the social sector?

“I get energized by making a difference in the world around me. I have always had a strong urge to donate my time, ideas and energy to the social sector. I started volunteering while in my teens in India and never stopped.”

❓ What excites you the most about this new role?

“I am most excited about being able to support leaders who are facing challenges. Having been in the position of an overwhelmed, under-resourced Executive Director, I know what it is like to feel isolated and lacking a support system. If I had access to Revjen at that time in my career, I may not be where I am today – working at Revjen! I believe everything happens for a reason and I am so grateful that in my current role I will be able to support leaders facing the issues I once faced.”

❓What do you think about the challenges of financial sustainability, isolation, and burnout in the social sector?

“Isolation and burnout are real, and financial sustainability is a huge stressor. I have spent a lot of time educating myself on the structures that make charitable donations what they are today and how to decolonize philanthropy. I recently got to preview Dan Pallotta’s movie Uncharitable and how the focus on program outcomes without investment in operational costs is draining the social sector. I look forward to being part of the movement to disrupt the status quo and make this sector stable and sustainable.”

Sharanya brings with her extensive experience in the nonprofit sector and a passion for helping make it better.
